What the weight and fineness mean
Fineness describes how pure the metal is. This palladium product is listed at .9995 fine (99.95% pure). One troy ounce is 31.1035 grams, the unit used for most bullion pricing. The weight in the product title is the amount of precious metal you receive, so you can compare it directly with other sizes and forms.
How bullion prices are set
Bullion is usually priced at the palladium spot price plus a premium. The premium covers manufacturing, distribution and dealer costs, and it is generally higher for smaller pieces. Compare the total price with the current palladium spot price before you buy. Prices are shown in US dollars and confirmed when we accept your order under our Price Lock Policy.
Storage, insurance and records
Many buyers store bullion at home in a secure location or in a professional vault, and insure it under a policy that covers precious metals. Keep your order confirmation and any assay card with your records, since they help show the weight and fineness when you later sell.
